At first glance, Camera Obscura’s take on the glitzy disco-pop of Swedish band, ABBA’s ‘Super Trouper’, isn’t particularly far removed from the original. But the band executes it with such understated charm and appeal, that it becomes instantly and perfectly likable. The cover takes on a completely different form; brimming with warmth and ease, it feels more relaxed and inviting. Still, both original and cover are compelling in its own right and true to its own niche. How can I ever make comparisons?
