DJ Sunderland

DJ Sunderland is a bedroom remixer based in Leicestershire UK who makes mash ups of indie songs. I’ve listened to a couple, but none hadreally struck a fancy chord with me, which also is due to the fact that I’ve never really been into mash ups, till I came across this piece:

The tune is a mash up between three songs: CSS’s ‘Alala’, the Killer’s ‘Somebody Told Me’, and Gorillaz’s ‘Feel Good Inc.’ The three songs mashes up really well, who would’ve thought. All I want to know is, how the hell does he do it? It’s a good change for a start, plus it’s also a brilliant way of listening to all your favourite tunes in one single song; genius, no?

One of the more recognizable mash up is this particular track, called ‘Supermassive Mandy’, which is a combination between Muse’s ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ and the Spinto band’s ‘Oh, Mandy’. I love how these two are melded together plus I’m crazy about Spinto Band’s ‘Oh, Mandy’, so it’s only natural that I’d be rooting for this one too.
