Video: The Cribs – Girls Like Mystery (Live) & Loney, Dear – Saturday Waits

Lately, I’ve found myself listening to a lot of music by the Cribs, Tokyo Police Club and Loney, Dear. These are some really good stuff; I can’t help myself from being addicted to them.

The Cribs is a band to me that I can never really see eye to eye with. Whether it’s the band itself, their videos or when they perform live - due to one of the lead’s mouth injury that never healed which causes it to bleed whenever he’s singing live. Some call it ‘dirty scabby rock’ at its best but honestly, it doesn’t look healthy.

Their music however, is great and I just can’t get enough of it. Although, the song ‘Moving Pictures’ is the track that was released as their second single, the song that I highly recommend is ‘Girls Like Mystery’; absolutely luurrrrvvee this song to all its little bits and pieces. Therefore, I must insist that you certainly must listen to it. Very 'Hitz.FM'; I'm sure if I persuade the guys at the station to include this in their playlist, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

When the mood changes, I’ll always turn to music like Loney, dear, and believe me, this man does a superb job when it comes to music like this. Tunes that are so delicate and tiny, that makes you wonder whether a song can be both fragile and riveting at the same time. The video for ‘Saturday Waits’ is absolute fun to watch especially when paired with such an incredible tune.
